snow and christmas goodies

first off...it was 70 something yesterday. my kids were wearing shorts and flip flops while playing outside. and today we have this...

i guess that's texas for ya. and it is still coming down. maybe we will get snowed in tomorrow and not have to go anywhere....oops...did i just say that... ;)

the girls loved my polka dot blankie so much they had to have one too. so dad made his way through the blizzard and wally to get them one each. brave soul he is. now these might not be "snuggies" but they are just as good :P

GO LIZZIE GO!

this past weekend was the white rock marathon. i so wanted to run it...but after watching liz i'm not so sure i can. we went out to dallas sat night so liz could get a good nights rest. the alarm was set for 5:20 and we were off! here are some of the pics i took. for more pics and details you can check out her blog

she is such a nut! after she finished writing secret stuff on herself in koren we went down to the breakfast nook and stocked up on munchies for after the race.

so i haven't been keeping up with my blog like i should. life gets in the way sometimes ;)

this is before we headed out to denny's and the movie. miranda felt special because i invited her to hang out with us big girls. i know she had school today but hey you only live once, right? i just hope she passed that test that counts for 70% of her grade ;)

during the first 30 minutes or so...right when edward leaves bella in the woods...some guy in the theater got up and tripped. SMASHED his head! it was really scary. it sounded like glass shattering he hit it so hard. i was torn...look at him and all the police and emergency help hauling him out on one of those boards they strap you down on or watching bella curl up into a ball calling for edward. i know i know, hard decision...no really i hope he is ok. it didn't look good.

this is miranda playing at a volleyball tournament. she has improved so much this year. so proud of her.

here i am a few hours after my surgery. i just had a scope done on my ankle to remove some scar tissue from my soccer injury back in june. so i'm back in that stinky old boot again. i have 2 more weeks to go. i'm still going to the gym but i miss the cardio! i need to run!!!

we had a chance to go to our first nascar race thanks to hubby's work. here are a few pics...

zz top preformed before the race...it was sad people! i loved them back in the day but they could barely move! and they were the ones to say "gentlemen start your engines". you could hardly hear them and they talked very slow. totally lost the effect.

lg got the part of john lennon from the beatles in her school play. angie saved the day! i waited to the last minute...seriously...for the costume. that is why her coat is a bit small. yes the sleeves go almost up to her elbows! i know! worst mom of the year award that day! but she did great and everyone loved her! thanks ang for hunting down a jacket and shirt :)

this is kimber and her "favorite cousin in the world" she loves her cj! and i must say i'm a proud aunt. he is only in 10th and playing first string varsity!

here is a pic of a childhood bestie. becky and i haven't seen each other in over ten years! this pic was taken back in the summer the first time i saw her. we didn't have much time...along with her 4 kids and 2 of mine but she came to dallas for a work thing last weekend and i went to visit her. dumb me didn't take my camera! ugh! it was so fun catching up. i have missed her so!

this was the official last "byd" of the summer. BDA baby! love my girls! that trampoline has lots of memories ;)

here is the first day of school back in august. i had to just about pull some teeth to get them to take it. they are growing up to fast!
