your gonna miss this

this is such a wonderful challenge if you haven't checked it out yet! it really gets you thinking. this is my take on it...

laura gale, my middle child, and jacob are cousins. and they were born three weeks apart, so every year when the family gets together for thanksgiving we celebrate their birthdays together. now that they are going to be NINE, i don't think that we can get away with it anymore. this was their fourth b-day.

this is a new park they built here in weatherford. i love it. my kids love it. it is awesome! they have the coolest stuff! today was really nice. it was me and some friends just hanging out in the shade while our kids played. (some of these pics are from last time we were there)

after this challenge for the kids, my oldest daughter said to me..."mom if you ever need help with one of your challenge thingies, just let me know." (i tried not to giggle out loud) so i told her "well honey if you want to try one you can." and so she did. this is what i was working on, so she did the same one.

challenge for the kids

there is a scrap challenge for kids here. it was really fun. they picked their own pics. then i let them pick paper and stuff for their page.this is what they came up with, i think there are a couple of future scrappers here. and i promise i did not do anything but help glue things down.

ummm...let's see

-I'm a loner. i don't mind being by myself. i enjoy it. i go to movies all the time by myself.

-I'm living my dream of being a SAHM.

-i'm addicted to chocolate covered peanuts, (only if they have been in the frig and really cold)

-i'm independent person.

-i'm a freak when it comes to my bed sheets. change them every 3-4 days, i have been know to change my pillow case after my kids or hubby has laid on it.

there's a whole other world

out there that i have been missing. long story short...my computer has never let me view any kind of video. that includes utube, slide shows and all the good stuff. don't know why, but it's fixed now! every time i go to a site that i've been a hundred times before, it looks all new to me! i see video and pics and hear music. i'm so freakin excited that i can hardly contain myself. and i owe it all to my bestest friend in the whole wide world. you check her out here. thank you so so so much. i didn't know how much i was missing out on. (i even went and watched all of your videos from your past posts that i never got to see)

i got it!

since i cut coupons, well i really printed them thanks to elizabeth, she showed me a few places to go and print out coupons online. and how to get a bunch of freebies! you need to check her out. she is all about saving a few pennies. after gathering my coupons i took the girls grocery shopping with me again. i still can't push two baskets with one hand so i had no choice but to take them. and yes my little helpers didn't fight or complain. they did ask me why wal mart had to make their parking lot up hill. hmmmmm, didn't i ask the same question a few post ago. see i'm not the only one that thinks that is crazy. anywho, i still spent my budgeted 350 bucks, but i got a whole heck of a lot more for my money! i've been driving my hubby's honda because i just realized it had a full tank of gas in it. it has been sitting in the garage for almost three months! how stupid to let that sit and waste. so the aspen has been a little lonely. but i filled the honda up and saved even more. so i will be driving that all summer. all in all i saved about 45 bucks with coupons and driving the little car. so i said, in a real nice voice, "honey, since i saved so much of your hard earned money, can i use it to by one more scrap kit?" i thought he would say no. but he said YES! so i didn't wait for him to change his mind. i got right online, hoping noel would still have one. AND SHE DID! i thought i was going to miss out on this kit. for some reason it was calling my name. i know a lot of things call my name, but i usually don't get them. every time i would go to someone's blog, there it was just looking at and teasing me. he has been so stressed lately about money, so it took a lot of nerve for me to ask for it since i just order some stuff earlier this month (from noel, again. i am loving her shop. check her out!). he is a budget man. so he keeps up with every penny that goes out our door. he has spread sheets and everything. love him for that. he has keep us pretty debt free for a long while. a few things have come up lately so we have a little now. but it was necessary, nothing not needed. do you know the average couple ages from 25 to 40 have over $40,000 in debt. crazy but true. he just never wants to be like that. so if we can't pay cash, we don't get it. tough sometimes. there is so much i would like the girls to have like new games for the wii and ds's and stuff for the house. but it is so worth not having the stress of debt hanging over us. sorry didn't mean to go off on that. i just wanted to scream...I GOT MY PICNIC BASKET KIT! can't buy anything for a while after this. i promised him i wouldn't even ask. oh that's going to kill me. but we have three kids to school shop for. then all their birthday's are right when and right after school starts. then anniversary then christmas...oh i'm getting stressed just thinking about it all.

got to go to bed. my head hurts now after thinking about all we need!

more challenges. but hey they are keeping me scrappin', so who can complain...my family maybe.

this one is for sisterhood of scrap. the challenge was to use a color that you normally wouldn't use. well i decided to go with blue. why? i have three girls. i can't seem to stay away from pinks, oranges and all that is girly. i don't have a lot of pp with blue so i just used a couple of different shades of blue instead.

this one is for pencil lines . ewww red and black love it! might have to use them on something else soon.

last post of the day

promise! this is for pencil lines sketches. (blurry! i know!)
i'm going through some old photos, and i can't believe how my kids have grown!
i got my digital camera christmas 06, i think. this last christmas all i wanted was my hubby to get my old film developed. that doesn't sound like a lot to ask for, but i had about 40 rolls. long story short, he really shocked me and had my daughter help him sneak them out of the house. even the photo guy said that it was the most he'd ever seen one person develop at once. my hubby then asked him about giving him a discount, yep, and he got it too. the guy took off the tax. which was almost $35!
ok back on track...
i'm just looking at their little faces and think about how fast time is going by. i need to cherish it more and stop bitching about how they don't do this or won't stop doing that.
i know i will probably complain on my next post, so forgive me in advance, but i'm going to try not to.
i'm a blessed woman. i have a wonderful husband, who loves me for who i am right now, not for what i was or what i looked like when we got married. he works hard so i don't have to. i have three healthy, precious girls who are pretty well rounded. i have a beautiful house to live in and a nice car to drive. we don't ever "need" for things. yes, i am blessed!

"just me and you mom"

that is how kimber wants everyday to be. both of her sisters had plans this weekend. so from 9:30 am friday til noon today, it was just us. we went over to our friends house for the afternoon. i would say my friend, karen, but kimber loves "miss karen" . she had michael all to herself. when we go over there she usually has to fight for his attention with her sis laura gale. they had a great time swimming, watching a movie, playing the wii, eating, and eating some more and changing a baby diaper. yes, that's right. while karen and i were visiting they decided owen needed his diaper changed. i must say they did a good job. here is a pic of them feeding owen and watching a movie anyway, after we left there we had dinner together, "just the two of us mom", she kept saying that over and over. then she wanted to watch tv because when her sisters are here she never gets the remote. while i scrapped, she feel asleep on the couch hugging the remote. even when i picked her up to take her to bed she wanted to sleep with it.

today, after we had a special breakfast together, we ran around town...returning movies, going to lunch and going to walmart. i got her a blow up pool at walmart, i sat by the pool, cause of my bum wrist. if it wasn't for that i would have been in it with her in a heart beat. we were out there for about two hours! she is such a different kid when her sisters are not around. usually i am complaining about what she did, but at this moment she is perfect. our time together was priceless. time i will never forget!

later her sis wanted to join the fun, so while i went to scrap this was my view...
i'm off now to finish one more challenge.
